Memento Mori in Practice: Shift in Perspective After Work
Just wanted to share a glimpse of Memento Mori in practice and how it reminded me to change my perspective on the way home from work.
To put things into perspective, the office I work at is on a super busy street in a tourist destination. Every day, I find myself stuck in a traffic jam.
Well, I'll admit: yesterday, I was completely exhausted. I started getting frustrated as I noticed I've been sitting at the same red light for 10 minutes.
But, upon reflection... I remembered how dangerous driving actually is, especially in this area. People die every single day from a crash. This could be my last ride home. That quickly snapped me back into a positive mindset.
What small daily frustrations could you reframe with Memento Mori?
