START HERE: Community Rules
StoaCentral exists to practice Stoic philosophy as a way of life, not as a debate club or an outrage machine. These rules are here to protect clarity, reason, and mutual respect.
Read them once. Return to them often.
1. Practice Reason and Good Faith
Engage honestly. Argue ideas, not people. Assume others are here to learn, not to dominate or perform.
2. No Personal Attacks or Contempt
Disagreement is welcome. Insults are not. Please be friendly.
3. Keep It Stoic (or Stoic-Adjacent)
Posts should relate to Stoic philosophy or its primary texts. We strive for practical application of Stoic principles, ethical reflection, discipline, virtue, and rational living. Pure politics, culture-war content, or unrelated self-promotion will be removed.
Other philosophical discussions are permitted, but we should keep this to a minimum.
4. Self-Promotion
If you've been working hard on something, feel free to share it. Sharing is welcome when it contributes to the practice of Stoicism. Applications, books, blogs, and related projects are acceptable when they are relevant and offered in good faith.
However, accounts that exist solely to promote their own material undermine the community and may be removed. StoaCentral is a place to practice and discuss, not a billboard.
5. No Low-Effort or AI Spam
Quality over quantity. Contributions should reflect thought, effort, and personal understanding. Low-effort posts, copy-pasted replies, and AI-generated content are not permitted.
6. Do not share copyrighted material
This includes links. Will result in automatic ban.
Feel free to also read the guidelines.

Best,
Matt
