Why I Built Stoa Central

Why build yet another Stoic community, when perhaps hundreds already exist on Facebook, Reddit, etc.? Fair question.

For me, it seems as I get older, the less I find myself willing to use these large social platforms. There's so much noise, it's almost impossible to sift through everything. Some groups seem to be quote dumps, rather than for philosophical discussion. Facebook pages sharing their AI-Generated reels and images to every group possible in order to earn money from the Facebook Bonus Program. And, so long as the image looks good, it doesn't even seem like people care if the quotes are accurate or not.

Lets not forget the advertisements and data collection, and all of the garbage you must sift through in order to find the hidden gems.

Thus, Stoa Central, a place focused on clarity.
